Let's take a look at what Anychart offers nowadays. Some of the much-leveled cons against anychart: And we all know how much the web hates Flash these days. It has the first stages of HTML5 implementations yet many are still Flash charts. It's true, the current state of charts are abysmal and outdated doesn't start to cover it. Sure, it's easy to be ripping on anychart these days. So we've been living in a void for ages now. That's a big if not huge con against them. Even if you did integrate one such plugin you will not see an automatic update when one such plugin is updated in a packaged application. They're too spread out, they're not centralized, and they'll likely not be much expanded upon. It's hardly that, and people have posed the question before: are they really an option? The answer was and is no. Apex 5 had many packaged apps with a plethora of plugins, which have long been heralded as a salve or salvation and the ushering in of a new age. I've commented on other threads before whenever charting is concerned and I stand by it even more so than before. Oracle/Apex did not renew the Anychart license when Apex 5 launched. Those are the cards and I'll have to live by it. Apex is Oracle and therefor they're obliged to use the JET Charts. I have beef with some colleagues about this too. I get outraged when An圜hart gets trash.Īnd it's not pointed at you personally Tony. I get really upset and annoyed at Oracle JET. ![]() ![]() 1.7K Training / Learning / Certification.165.3K Java EE (Java Enterprise Edition).7.9K Oracle Database Express Edition (XE).3.8K Java and JavaScript in the Database.
